How do you pronounce Wiyama?

The correct pronunciation is We-ya-'maa

What does Wiyama Mean?
Wiyama is a Native American word that means Woman's Medicine.  The word medicine in indigenous cultures is used to mean personal power or spiritual nature.  A woman's medicine pertains to her natural personal affinity to create and bring forth life, nurture and foster love for her children, her partner, her family and to bring her personal affectation to the tribe or community and the larger world.  Every woman's personal medicine is completely and uniquely hers.  Subtle or bold, traditional or unconventional, spirited youth or aged wise, women heal the world and are a testimony to the power of the circle of life in all its facets.  Wiyama Midwifery celebrates each unique woman in her genuine ability to exact changes and create magic wherever she is in her life's journey.
